Super Seconds Festival

I’m so excited to be taking part in the Super Seconds Festival October 2025 - a two-day online event where over 250 independent UK makers sell their perfectly imperfect creations at bargain prices. If you love handmade ceramics, pottery, prints, jewellery, and more, this is your chance to shop unique pieces at up to 75% off.

What is the Super Seconds Festival 2025?

The Super Seconds Festival is a twice-yearly online event bringing together a wide variety of independent makers across the UK. Organised by Sophie from The Creative Incubator, it’s a brilliant opportunity to grab discounted designs from talented artisans, including jewellery makers, printmakers, illustrators, and ceramicists (like me).

When is the Super Seconds Festival?

The next Super Seconds Festival takes place on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th October 2025, starting at 10am (UK time).

What does ‘seconds’ mean in handmade ceramics?

In ceramics, a ‘second’ is a piece that isn’t quite perfect enough to be sold at full price. These items are still beautiful, but they may have small flaws such as:

• minor imperfections in the glaze (patchy, lighter, or darker in some areas)
• slightly wobbly or uneven shapes
• colour variations from the intended design
• pieces that are a little larger or smaller than expected
• items that came out differently to the planned style

Some ceramic seconds are purely decorative, while others are completely functional and safe to use – they just don’t match the rest of the collection perfectly.

I’ll also be offering discontinued designs (no longer in production), so once they’re gone, they’re gone!

What handmade ceramics will I be selling?

During the Super Seconds Festival October 2025, I’ll be selling a wide range of handmade ceramic pieces, including:

• tealight holders
• ring holders
• small dishes
• pen pots
• pebble photo holders
• trinket bowls and decorative dishes

Each piece is unique, and many are available at up to 75% off.

How to shop the Super Seconds Festival online

You can shop directly through each maker’s own website or Etsy shop. My full range of discount handmade ceramics will be available here soon.

Because items sell quickly, I recommend bookmarking the shops you’re interested in before the event starts.

What discounts will be available?

Every maker sets their own prices and discounts. In my shop, I’ll be offering up to 75% off handmade ceramics, depending on the level of imperfection or whether the piece is discontinued.

How to prepare for Super Seconds Festival

Bargains go fast, so here are some tips:

• Be online at 10am on Saturday 4th October when the event begins.
• Bookmark the shops you want to buy from in advance.
• Have your card or payment details ready to checkout quickly.
• Remember: having an item in your basket doesn’t guarantee it’s yours until you’ve completed payment!
